What To Expect

The Dome. When you arrive on Sunday morning and make your way into the Dome (looks like a big brown Epcot Center or an oversized igloo on snowy days) to meet our Garage church family, expect the unexpected. Clothes. A lot of people wonder, “what should I wear to church?” We don’t have a lot of “should’s,” but you might see someone in dress slacks and a tie, someone else in chuck taylor’s and jeans, and someone else in flipflops and shorts. So come as you are. If you’re comfortable, we’re comfortable (as long as you’re fully clothed, if not, you would make us uncomfortable and we might let you borrow one of our Garage mechanic’s coveralls or something). Coffee. Thanks to our Guatemala missionary friends, we always have a fresh pot of amazing coffee! They grow some of the best beans on the planet, and we are always thankful for them every Sunday morning. Tunes. We’ve been told that our music is good, loud, fun, engaging, spirit-filled, creative, relevant, different, purposeful, and nice. Come give a listen, and then we can add your adjective to the list. Bible. We always read the Bible (if don’t have one, don’t worry, we’ll share), and we want you to know that wherever you find yourself on the spiritual spectrum, you are welcome here. The sermons and teaching elements are usually laced with some creative flair aimed at helping you understand and experience the love and truth of Jesus Christ. Our goal is for you to encounter God in every worship experience. While we think all of our stuff is cool, what really makes us The Garage are the fine people you will meet on Sunday morning. You might get a high-five, or a handshake, or a hug from a perfect stranger, but know that we’re honestly just glad you came. We believe in our growing church family and we’ve got a seat in the house for you. Mi casa es su casa, my friend. Looking forward to meeting you on Sunday morning at The Garage. Pastor Michael |
